  • The more I think about it, the more I think it was easier back then.

If only things had turned out differently for us, I would still be with you.

I miss you dearly, and moments like these remind me just how much.

Borrowing the words of Jason Mraz

I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
    I'm still looking up
    I'm still looking up

I won't give up on us
God knows I'm tough, he knows
We got a lot to learn
    God knows we're worth it

I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
    I'm still looking up

  • So I was looking though a design book that my friend gave to me and look what I found.

    Rule #34:

Looks like God's reminding me that He knows the deepest desires of my heart.

    Happy Valentines Day all.

  • Here's to Family

It would seem the days and months have passed by in a blink of an eye.

As October looms into a full moon.

One ponders the beauty of being able to enjoy a simple weekend.

A small, quiet meal with close friends on a Friday evening after work.

The latest movies with the young owls.

A rainy night to help ease the tiredness.

The glorious sleep in on a Saturday morning.

The sun seeping into the skin, as one lies on the grass enjoying the summer breeze.

The cool demeanor of the house, as we return in the evening, to prepare a meal.

Satisfying one's cravings with baking brownies,

Licking the spatula clean of the mixture.

A meal is best served when there is people to share with,

And the best people to share with is the family.

Everything is made fresh, from the mains: steak ala mushroom & spinach,

to the desserts: brownies with ice cream and fresh strawberries,

to the drinks: fresh orange & strawberry juice.

Bring out the tables and fill it with tiles.

Let's play a game or two of mahjong.

As laughter ricochet off the walls,

and shouts of "PONG" and "CHI" could be heard.

The night I must admit fizzles out with a bang.

Time it would seem, helps one to distinguish what is truly valuable.

Though life seems to plod on with its never-ending list of things to do.

At the end of the day, I am thankful for great compadres.

  • We're doing 21 days of praise in Planetshakers.

    Today is Day 2

He whispers to me a song from which I hardly remember the lyrics.

He says lovingly, "Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know "

I had the words just wash over me all morning...

And when I arrived home, (long story short) received a call for interview.

Oh and He says, sometimes we think we can only hear HIM through biblical/christiany things and that's simply not true.

Brett Dennen's - Darling do not fear...

When I arrived in my old set of clothes
I was half a world away from my home
and I was hunted by the wolves
and I was heckled by the crows
Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know

Alongside my innocence I laid in bed awake
conflicted and in chains with the impetus of age
but like a phantom she crept across the floor and out the window
Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know

From its place on the mantel my heart was taken down
scattered in a thousand little pieces on the ground
and I below the streetlamp like an orphan with a halo
Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know

    cuz it won’t last
    worries’ll pass
all your troubles they don’t stand a chance
and sometimes it takes more than a lifetime to know
Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know

Your confidences fall as your faith etched in stone
neither could comfort you from the wild unknown
so bury your burning hatred like a hatchet in the snow
Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know

If you have a broken heart or a battered soul
find something to hold onto until they go
to help you through the hard nights
like a flask filled with hope
Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know

    cuz it won’t last
    your worries’ll pass
all your troubles they don’t stand a chance
and it always hurts the worst when it’s the ones we love the most
Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know

sometimes your path is marked in the sky
sometimes it falls too thin in between the lines
sometimes all you can do is say no
Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know

I said when I arrived in my old set of clothes
I was half a world away from my home
and I was hunted by the wolves
and I was heckled by the crows
Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know
I said Darlin’ do not fear what you don’t really know

We said Darlin’ do not fear…

  • Treated myself to afternoon tea with the girls from work =)

I now have a theory that anything on a three-tier plate looks good.

I'm so getting myself one so I can throw little tea parties.
